When it comes to wine there are infinite options in the City of Lights. France is home to great wines recognized worldwide for its quality, flavor, elegance and heritage and you can find them all in Paris. There is definitely a great variety of wine bars in the city but we will propose the ones that we think propose interesting concepts that you might enjoy.
ETNA
This bar à vins is located in the heart of Saint Germain it has a very special and vivacious atmosphere and a great selection of wines. The first thing that you notice is the design of the bar, it is very original, a boat shape all made with wood. They mainly stand out because they offer natural wine; what does this mean? that they only have a wine that is produced with the traditional methods that date back 3000 years, they are free of chemicals additives. Producing this way helps it reveal the purest expression of the terroir and the fruits. It is a wine grown respecting the natural process, with patience and love; the natural vinification releases the rich and unique aromas which comes from the natural and unique properties of the soil.
The service at Etna is excellent, they talk to you and recommend the wine that you would enjoy the most according to your personal taste and what you want to eat, the food they offer pairs really well with the different wines and have a nice variety of flavours. The team really knows their wines and will make great suggestions. The prices are very reasonable by the glass, from 5 euros; bottles, from 20 euros, to enjoy on the premises or take away.
For those that have a sweet tooth Etna offers a selection of fine chocolates to be paired with Champagne and wine, this is a must! a very sensorial and magical experience.
I think this concept is very interesting and is definitely a practice that we should support because it respects nature and the process of the wine and the terroirs and it is better for us as it is better for the environment, on the other hand we get a great wine with more intense flavours and aromas that helps us appreciate the different appellations and regions even more.
