Little brothers « Roco« , « Roca » and « Rococo » have the pleasure of announcing the birth of their (very big) brother, « Daroco« , between the stripped bare walls of the former J.P. Gaultier boutique. If you are the first time looking for this restaurant you may not find it easily by recognize the Name tag. However, it will be attracted to you by the architecture of the restaurant as describe as the best deco 2017. With high fashion decoration and high ceiling, it creates the special atmosphere for the customer.
Having resorted to assisted procreation once again, donors Alexandre Giesbert and Julien Ross didn’t skimp on the stylish DNA for this stratospheric trattoria (cathedral-like heights, mirrored ceilings…) with beautiful details: green marbles, SupaKitch design, waiters dressed in stripes….
As for the food,…
the open kitchen supplies the flow of chic clients with divine pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven (a saintly Margherita with creamy fior di latte and sun-soaked tomatoes from Mezzogiorno) and neo-mamma dishes: Gorgonesque grilled octopus for the appetizer, surrounded with melon, ricotta and marjoram; rustic linguine alla carbonara with an almost virginal animality about it (guanciale, egg yolk, pepper, Parmesan);
And, to finish, tiramisu made with homemade cookies, exceptional coffee, hazelnuts from Piedmont, cacao and tonka beans. Plenty of good reasons for fashion victims to dry their tears!
Of course, don’t forget the wine here. Wines from high mass: prosecco Marsuret (€8 a glass), red from Sardinia, La Cantine Argiolas (€32 a bottle) and white from Abruzzo, Domaine Cirelli (€6 a glass). And another plus point about the Da Nico bar for apéritifs or after-dinner drinks, hidden out in the back with a view of the Galerie Vivienne.
The staffs were very friendly and served the foods very fast, you can ask them some recommendation if you don’t know which one you want to choose for the first time visting. Don’t forget to make some selfie with the glassing ceiling if you are fan of selfie taking. Enjoy the atmosphere, I’m sure that it will bring you very unique experiences.
