This is a small restaurant- French Bistro style but I can say it such as a » Hidden gem of Paris’s Cuisine« ,Best known for its quirky, inviting, artsy-charming ambiance and amiable proprietor, « Le Taxi Jaune » remains one of Paris’s best-kept secrets. Located in the historic Marais district, this neighbourhood bistro has been enchanting Parisians and returning visitors for 75 years.. The decoration of the bistro is very classic with a mini bar, full of pictures and icons in the walls. The warm lights deliver to the customers a feeling of very warmth and welcoming from the owner. I will tell you a secret that all the recipes were made by the owner of « Le Taxi Jaune » as same as a chef.
The menu in here is very unique to bring the customers many surprising and interesting. First, for lunch menu – the main dishes ( made by fishes or meats) are changing everyday per week which mean if you come back to « Le Taxi Jaune » on a next day or the day after it you won’t find the same dish that you ate before. Second, For the dinner – the chef special dishes with horse meat as a main ingredient- that made the unique for the restaurant. You definitely need to come back to you the amazing dish. However, it is not only the unique dish in this restaurant, if you go there in group you should order everything ( Small tip: ask the waiter to recommend you the best dish).The last is every dishes is 100% handmade with a significant recipes from the chef. And of course don’t forget to choose for you a vintage bottle of vin to enjoy with your dishes.
Note: the service is very calm so don’t be rush and enjoy your lunch or dinner time and of course, » Le Taxi Jaune » will take care of you very well. You definitely kill the waiting time by order a bottle of wine here and enjoy it with homemade colourful potato chips. The owners are very nice, so feel free to talk with them, they will share some stories about restaurants and Paris as tips for tourists
